Socialcast is based in San Francisco, California with a satellite office in Minneapolis, Minnesota. We’re funded by Menlo Ventures, True Ventures and a host of Silicon Valley angel investors.
Providing the creative vision for Socialcast and its technology, Timothy brings nearly a decade of web development experience and over 8 years of entrepreneurship to the company. His prior venture, Event Robot, developed online communities for consumer-facing brands in the entertainment industry. Timothy's interests include emergent processes and behaviors, flock theory, connectionism, and collective intelligence, all of which are integrated into the Socialcast product. He regularly speaks about social networking and collaboration at industry conferences and guest teaches at the University of California, Irvine.
Scott is Vice President of Operations at Socialcast, bringing more than 15 years experience in general management, product management, business development and sales & marketing. Prior to Socialcast, Scott was VP of Global Strategy at Secureworks where he was responsible for the definition of the company's global go-to-market strategy. He joined Secureworks when the company acquired VeriSign's Managed Security Services business where Scott was the VP and General Manager, responsible for strategy, operations and management of the P&L. Prior to VeriSign, Scott held various leadership positions at Guardent and Genuity. Scott has a B.A. from Dartmouth College and an M.B.A. from the Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University.
Sean is the Director of Engineering at Socialcast with professional interests in system architecture and human computer interaction. He graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a degree in Informatics. Sean has been a member of the Socialcast team since its founding in 2008. Sean's other professional interests include open source development and unique API integrations. When not working, Sean enjoys home brewing and travel.
Carrie provides the direction for marketing, partnerships and client fulfillment with a philosophy of proactive servicing and communication at all times. A veteran of B2B relationship-building, Carrie’s experience includes managing corporate sponsorships at the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, partnership marketing at The Irvine Company, and press and event management at Nickelodeon and DIC Entertainment. Carrie graduated cum laude with a degree in English from UCLA and holds an MBA from UC Irvine.
